The Problem With Doing Math on the Computer

I thought I would share with you some of the results that we have had with doing math on the computer.

For the most part, it has actually been great! My daughter has done so much better at her math doing it this way. She is 13.

The problem has come in with my 6 year old son.

And it is not really that big of a problem, but by doing all of his math on the computer, he forgot how to write his numbers.

SO, I suggest doing at least some of your younger children's math on paper, so that they don't forget how to write their numbers.

I hope this helps.

Martin Luther: b. 1483-1546: "I am very much afraid that schools will prove to be the great gates of hell unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures, engraving them in the hearts of youth. I advise no one to place his child where the Scriptures do not reign paramount. Every institution in which men are not increasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt."
