Last week we were driving around, going to garage sales, lol, and we drove by an elementary school.
I slowed down and we watched about 30 kids walk out of the building, all in a row, all with their hands behind their backs.
It was such a sad sight.
I said to my kiddos, "look at those poor kids".
They looked over and saw all the kids in a row, and they both said how sad it was that they had to be herded around like that.
My 6 year old said to me, "I'm glad I don't have to go to school, I'm glad I am homeschooled".
I replied, "You are, why?".
His response, "Because I'm HOME."
I think that just about says it all. . Because he is home.
How sad would it be if my children were not home?
I just can't imagine a life like that.
I am so blessed that my children see the blessing in being able to be homeschooled.
And I am so blessed to be able to homeschool.
I thank our wonderful Lord for this blessing.
Thank you so much.

Poor kiddos! :( We pick up a friend's daughter from school sometimes and I always feel bad for those kids...of course when I get there they are all happy b/c they are headed home. My daughter says she never wants to go to school. :)
I hear you on that! It is very sad.
It is great, isn't it? And all thanks to God for it! My kids were in public school until the finish of their 4th and 6th year. They don't want to go back to that. And I don't ever want to send them back.
Thank you, God.
I agree! They are children not animals to be herded! Even on the not so good days I'm still glad they are HOME!
My girls are homeschooled too......I never thought of it that way....so sad.
Hello from the hop!
Yes, it is wonderful to have our children at home!
Such a sad thing and your son was spot on when he said that they were being herded around. My son recently said that he likes being homeschooled because it means he is with his family.... ahhh, the glimmers when you know without a shadow of a doubt that you're doing what's right :-)
I'm a new follower - look forward to reading more!
