When I found out that I would be reviewing this book, I was very excited!
I had already been trying to find different ways to keep my kids occupied in the car, and that is what this book is all about.
Well, that is not totally what this book is about, but I knew it would help me in this area as well.
Travel Kits: A Simple Way to Bless Others, is really about blessing those you love with the gift of peace and happiness in the car.
In this 93 page e-book, you will learn how to make a Travel Kit that will keep children excited and occupied in the car, so that the trip is not as chaotic as it might normally be. (Just think of how your long trips go!)
The introduction gives you the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How’s of making a Travel Kit.
After you finish reading the introduction, you have the option to get started right away, or you can read the rest of the book, and get TONS more details.
Being that I am a detail person, I read each and every chapter in this book, and I am glad that I did.
I highly recommend that you read the entire thing, as you will have a much better understanding of how to put a Travel Kit together, as well as what to put in one!
There are endless ideas for boys, girls, even mom’s and dad’s!
It doesn’t matter what age the kids are, you will find plenty of ideas in this book.
Some of my favorite ideas for items to put in a Travel Kit include: cross stitch or needlework for girls, a rope or string for a boy to learn how to tie many different types of knots, and gift cards to a restaurant for mom and dad.
You will also find ideas of what containers or bags to use, what to use to decorate with, and how to make it personal to the family that you are blessing with a Travel Kit.
Remember to include something for mom and dad as well!
They will love that you thought of them too!
You are sure to have fun putting together your Travel Kit.
The further I read in the book, the more excited I became about making a Travel Kit for someone else.
I knew I would immediately make one for my own kids, but I found myself really wanting to bless someone else too!
As you keep thinking of all of the ways that you could make a Travel Kit, you may find yourself making multiple kits for different purposes. Let your imagination run wild!
You may even consider purchasing a copy of this e-book for a gift. I bet the person you give your Travel Kit to would love to learn how to make one of their own.
There is also a great Bonus section in this book that includes tips on meals and snacks, preparing your vehicle for the trip, and tips from fellow travelers.
Also included in this e-book is the Official Tourism Website for each state, which I think is great!
Here are some pictures of a Travel Kit that I made for my friend and her family that are leaving, today actually, on a four hour trip.
*This is what I put in their Travel Kit.*
*And this is what it looks like AFTER I wrapped each gift and put it together! Fun, huh?*
I really had so much fun putting this together, and am super excited to give this to them. I think it will be a huge blessing to them, especially mom! HA HA
I will have to put an update here after they get back from their trip to let you know how they enjoyed it!
I will be making Travel Kits for my own 2 kiddos, and they know it too. They have been asking me everyday when they are going to get theirs!
I am including things in their Travel Kits that we can keep in the car as a permanent kit.
I found so many fun things to put in their kits, that I am even excited to play with some of it!
*So, here are my kiddo's Travel Kits!*

Just in case you are wondering, almost every single item that I purchased was only a dollar! Way to go, huh?
I had so much fun putting these Travel Kits together, and I bet you will too!
